Welcoming

What details make a home feel welcoming?

I imagine that a welcoming gesture a detail in a house can give is one that invites you to participate and personalizes with it, a place to: take off your shoes, hang your jacket, pick up something useful for your next action, remind you about your life goal, remind you about your routine, and to pick up the activity that you have left from.

This can be done with a simple gesture in a home interior such as:

- adding ledges for displaying stuff

- putting a bench at intermediate spaces

- clothes hanger at the corner of the house

- a tray of towel on a dresser before a bathroom

- photo rack as an inner foyer after the main door

- floor mat and cloth hanger in front of a bed
