Can You Recreate?

Can the same ancient pieces of architecture be recreated again?

All of the ancient architectures that were created by our ancestors will never be recreated again.

This is not due to the reason that we are way too advanced in technology, we aren’t even close to competing our intention, technique, and skills of designing with them.

Moreover, we are overwhelmed by the current material availability that simply marks constraint out of our context.

Three ancient architectures that will never be recreated that I can think of will be the yurt, Angkor Wat (and all the stone-stacked structures within the territory), and the Great Pyramid of Giza.

If we arguably recreate them in an attempt, we will fail by the “printing” date and our present context (read also: environment and copycat).
