Swivel House - Zero Energy Lifecycle Bamboo Living Village and Air Filtering House
Proposed site: Kuala Lumpur.

Proposed site: Kuala Lumpur.
Swivel-house demonstrates sustainable building development life cycle by using bamboo to promote biophilic living while minimizing the negative building impact on the environment such as carbon footprint, fossil fuel burning, and construction waste.
It features flexible devices like operable exterior shading panels, roof system with air gaps, operable louver fenestrations, and a passive solar design approach.
The design makes full use of wind energy, rainwater, and solar energy. The spatial composition and operability enhance the quality of human physical health, social and cultural life.
Swivel panels feature the ability for users to respond to the sun angle and wind direction while adding preference of plant on the plantable screens. The vertical plantation filters polluted air while providing fresh air to the atmosphere as a whole.
